STUDENT REPRESENTATIVES

On the advice of a few professors, OHEIB has opted to initiate a Student Campus Representative Program instead of the traditional OHEIB Student Award. Student Liaisons Sonia Dudnic Sreedharan and Caroline Denda asked for interested Home Economics students from Ryerson, Guelph and Western to volunteer as student liaisons between OHEIB and fellow students. The Student Campus Representatives are given a one year membership in OHEIB and are invited as our guests to all the meetings throughout the year.

Congratulations to our Student Campus Reps for the 2007/8 year:

From Guelph, Jessica Donaldson recently completed her Bachelor of Applied Science, with a major in Applied Human Nutrition. Jessica has been involved in various food and nutrition experiences, such as coordinating snack and breakfast programs at local public schools and acting as an assistant manager for a coffee pub on the University of Guelph campus. Jessica begins a new contract position at Kraft Canada in July.

From Western, Amy Goertz is entering her third year at Brescia University College, enrolled in the Foods and Nutrition program. While pursuing her Bachelor of Science she is also working towards a concurrent major in Business Administration. She is employed in three different nutrition-related aspects of food service and is a member of SHEA and CAPF.

From Western, Bonnie Cheng is entering her third year at Bresica University College and is currently pursuing her goals of combining two of her personal interests, Nutrition and Business. She plans on double majoring; with her current degree of Food and Nutrition and in Food Management (Business).

From Ryerson, Melanie Stanton is in the Food & Nutrition Program at Ryerson University.
