LOGOS

The logo for the Ontario Home Economists in Business juxtaposes corporate icons and those of consumerism, depicting how OHEIB combines Business and Home Economics.
A house with a window frames both a view of the corporate environment and the grid of a growth chart. The house itself implies Home and the Consumer. It relates to the issue of OHEIB at the small scale. The house might also be perceived as an arrow pointing upwards, implying progress.
The half-tone blocks (in the lower logo) seen through the window relates to Home Economics at the larger scale. They represent office towers-or perhaps a bar graph. These blocks, along the line of the growth chart relate to the business aspects of OHEIB. Thus, this multi-faceted design depicts how OHEIB reflects numerous aspects of Home Economics and Business.
The association recently contemporized the logo by updating the look and feel while still recognizing and maintaining the original design (upper design).
